Criminal Defense FAQs

Q. When should I contact an attorney

A. If it has come to your attention that you may be under investigation now is the time to speak with a seasoned attorney. An attorney has the ability to intervene on your behalf, learn the substance of the potential allegations, and help guide you through the process.

Q. What if I am contacted by a police officer or federal agent?

A. Immediately contact an attorney before communicating with law enforcement. You may merely be a witness, but it is important to have your attorney set the parameters for any communications with government agents. If you are the target or a subject in any investigation, it may not be in your best interest to speak with any government agent. Exercising your right to remain silent under the 5th Amendment of the Constitution is not an admission of guilt; it is a protection afforded to all Americans.

Q. I have been arrested, now what?

A. Please call to schedule a consultation with an attorney. Your situation is undoubtedly unique and there is not a one size fits all answer. The facts of your case and your personal life and circumstances will provide the framework for a comprehensive plan of action to best serve you.
