Trinaise Maddox-Suddith

Executive Legal Assistant

Trinaise Maddox-Suddith was born and raised Columbus, Ohio. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from The Youngstown State University in May of 2019. Trinaise majored in Criminal Justice and rounded out her education with a minor in African American Studies. During that period, she had the opportunity to travel and study in Jerusalem with a focus on the Israeli Criminal Justice system in relation to the United States Criminal Justice system. In her research, Trinaise ultimately determined the primary difference between the systems was that the Israeli system provided the accused a genuine fair opportunity for rehabilitation not present in the current U.S. model. The lesson that mercy, redemption, and hope can exist for those criminally accused has remained a guiding principle in Trinaise’s life.

During Trinaise’s undergraduate years, she had the opportunity to intern as a law clerk at a civil litigation firm. She also interned with the Mahoning County Clerk of Court in Youngstown, Ohio. Additionally, Trinaise was a Student Office Assistant in the Africana Studies Department of her University, where she guided and assisted not only faculty and students, but specifically, students of color who needed help in their own academic pursuits. Trinaise excelled at Youngstown, earning honors such as Dean’s List and President’s List. As a result, she was awarded multiple scholarships throughout her undergraduate career. After graduation, Trinaise moved to Florida in June of 2019.

Trinaise continued her professional path by focusing on working with individuals who have been criminally accused. She began interning at our firm in August of 2019. Shortly thereafter, she received her certification as a Notary Public in the State of Florida. In less than a year, Trinaise demonstrated such a high level of intelligence, keen insight, organizational ability, technical know-how, warmth, humor, and common sense it was clear she would be a tremendous asset to the firm. Trianise was quickly promoted to Executive Legal Assistant. In this position, Trinaise is an integral member of the team who commits herself to fostering relationships with clients and contributing to the ultimate defense strategy. Trinaise has an internal sense of excellence that is apparent in her commitment to our clients during the most difficult time in their lives. It is Trinaise’s goal to ultimately become an attorney, and because what’s past is prologue, she will be a remarkable one.
